Hate to be the bearer of bad news but...
If you simply see the 'Connect to iTunes' with a USB plug and the iTunes icon, its more than likely that she had the option to 'erase content after 10 failed passcode attempts' checked when she set up her passcode. By entering the code so many times she may have inadvertently deleted the pics herself... along with everything else.
I hope this isn't the case and that she does get her photos back but if you connect it to iTunes and the only option is to restore there may not be anything left on the phone already...
With the proper tools they can *probably* still be recovered. If erase content flag was enable they might be gone. I can't say without physical access to the device.

no and i have no idea how to do that. terminal is a bit intimidating.
im using Verizon DSL. Im connected to a wireless router.
Ok, just thought I'd ask. You can certainly experiment with it. Open Terminal and type ftp. Type the name of the server, your username and password and play around a bit. Type help once you get logged into your server and take a look at the put and mput commands (they're for uploading files). It's ugly, but it works and may be a good workaround until you resolve your GUI issues.
Just a thought, you can read up on how to use Terminal in help or online. I'll refrain of typing up some huge confusing instruction set on how to do it since it's not really your first choice here.

I also should mention that the clone was from another macBook that I'm trying to install in my new MacBook Pro (i7 quad).
We're beyond Winclone now it would seem.
Which Macbook was it that you took the image from? Windows doesn't usually like being relocated to new hardware (without SYSPREP) but when the machines are similar enough you might be able to get away with it.

That might put Cisco in its place, being that the 'i'Mac was introduced on May 6, of 1996.
Actually, it was 1998 (http://www.apple-history.com/?page=gallery&model=imac&performa=off&sort=date&order=ASC)
Even then, one could argue that Apple forfeited the right to all "i-products" when it didn't sue Compaq for the iPaq....

I'm still relatively new to OS X, but holding the option key is the only way I know of to select which disk to boot. If there is another way (e.g., a boot-time menu or something that didn't require holding a key), I'd be interested to know about it.

Had it since the day it came out via dodgy methods.
Like people have said, no reason to limit it to NA up to now ...
Dodgy methods? Couldnt you have just signed up for a US iTunes account and downloaded it, then switched back to your normal one? That's how most non-US people got it easly.

It's, erm, insania. The gist of it being that the whip-wielding vampire-vanquishing adventure into androgyny, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, is going to vanquish vampires and wield whips on Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday (when else?). An 800 MS Point ($10) expenditure will net you both the original version of the game and another that boasts improved HD visuals and sound.

Clean design, would be even better if it wasn't a template. Not that there's anything wrong with those.

My question for discussion would be: 1) would you consider buying a used LCD monitor off of ebay?
...No! No warranty, no guarantee of condition.

Lance has said he'll retire or has even retired before I think, but coming out of retirement 'just to p*ss them off' is a bit lame.
Well, I don't think he'd go to that much trouble just to taunt the French media...If he does race I think the reason will be because that's what he does, and he doesn't want to stop.
Although, maybe it would be better for him to start competing in other Tours like the Giro d'Italia - he's already put his stamp firmly on the Tour de France.
PS. Don't diss MJ - you run a good chance of being struck down.... ;)
LOL, I never was much of a basketball fan but it was sad to see such a legend fade away like he did - it was just too hard to let go.

Are they doing the ads the same way the nytimes has been doing the ads?
Which hijack your screen every now and then for an ad -- before sending off to the link you clicked.
I hate when that happens.
Or when something is flying on your screen, like a giant kite.
Those animated ads that hijack the screen are out of control!

You guys are fast!
Cool. So far I have just been right clicking "set as desktop" off the images themselves. I haven't added any folder to the desktop/wallpaper preferences pane - is this why my wallpaper last night didn't "stick" after shutting down? It went back to the default wallpaper this morning when I turned it on.
Sorry, this is my 1st apple ever and I just got it 2 days ago :(
So far it's been very intuitive and easy to learn and convert from windows though!
