I find that fireworks mx is really cool for doing what you are trying to do if you can get your hands on it. Oh yeah and I think you should antialias the text a little bit. If you want honest opinions....I think the image could use a little jazzing up....Try this:
Find a nice big panoramic image like of a beach or something.. Then give it a real big gaussian blur (so that you cannt recoginze what it was)......U should already notice it looks similar to a gradient. 2. The give it a strong motion blur to the left or right (to soften the image) 3. Then do a an adjustment...hue.....and play with the saturation and settings. (You should have a pretty nice gradient looking abstract at this point). 4. Then duplicate the layer and play with that layers blend mode. I find luminosity to be cool but find one to suit your needs. That will make your text and image seem more interesting....right now it looks kinda dead in the water......I find gradients by themselves to be boring this day in age (most of the time). Let me know if you need a more indepth tutorial....this one was kinda weak but....hey

my story is something like dhirajs98 but i dont know if he had the biometries done or not but we got the biometries, fingerprinting done but now my online status says that they mailed me a decision for i140 and i485, but does it mean a denial, please respond.

Look at EB-3 numbers for Mexico, Phillipines, Pakistan, South Korea, Guatemala, Brazil, Equador, Peru, Poland, El Salvador, Bolivia, Ecquador,
Compare this with H1-B data and you'll see what I mean.
Also EB-1 seems unusually high at ~37,000
EB-1 is even higher than EB-2
isn't that unusual?
I think most of the EB1 category for India is being used up by the L1-A visa holders who are Multinational Executives.
The place I work has so many people from Big Indian companies and they have applied in EB-1 category and got their GCs in less than a Year.
I strongly feel L1-A visa holders shud not be put in EB-1 category.

I dont want to depend on pending I485 as the only source. I want each of us to have status independent of it.
I do understand that he can apply H1 only in Apr 08 and start working from Oct 08.
I am hoping a short visit will not reset his 365 day exile. One more query I have is can he leave US for around 10 days immediately after applying for I485. Should he apply for AP along with I485 or should he wait once he comes back after his short trip on a valid L2? Will it be OK ?

Adjustment of status applicants also have the option of filing for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) either at the time of filing the I-485 or anytime after obtaining the I-485 Receipt Notice. In essence, the applicant needs either the H or L nonimmigrant status or the Employment Authorization Document but does not need both. However, an adjustment applicant with a valid nonimmigrant status may want to obtain an Employment Authorization Document to allow him to work an additional job.

Hi Folks, I have a question about traveling to India...
Want to travel from US to Indore, India. As I need to change planes either Mumbai or Delhi, how does it work?
1. I came to know that in Mumbai, it is just change of terminals, not airports. Am I right?
In Mumbai, you need to go from the international part to the domestic part. They are pretty close. Usually the airline will arrange buses to take all the passengers to the domestic part. However, you need to collect your luggage and clear customs and immigration before that.
2. How about Delhi? Once I arrive at International airport in Delhi, to catch a domestic flight to Indore, is it change of airports or just change of terminals? Is there a shuttle provided?

You can take Infopass to findout, wheather this notice is by mistake - if so you are out of problem. Otherwise, I don't think, there is any other option then getting it done, you can keep on extending till your wife comes here.
Take enough precautions so that finger ridges are properly scanned next time to avoid such calls. A small cut in fingers can delay legible prints for months. Sometimes skin diseases are problems. In newborns, finger ridges are not developed and it can happen with some grown ups. If you rub fingers against rough surface before FP, FP will not come properly.
The staff taking FP does visual scanning and runs preliminary program to verify whether scans are OK or not. With image scanning, number of repeat FP notice due to unreadbale prints is significantly reduced - so the notice you have received might be a mistake.

Sick & tired of this VSC processing time frames, I hope they know what they are doing?
Applied for my H1/H4 (8th year) extension on October 22, 2007 and no approval as of today..not sure how long its going to take in order to approve these H1/H4 extension....my last approved H1 will expire in March 1st week of 2008. (still waiting for 140 approval at TSC).. Drama part-2 starts when ever 140 gets approved and applying for another extension .. oh lord!!
Not sure if VSC is trying to meet processing time frames for these visa extension applications with applicants Date of Birth....:D (I am sure that's what they are trying to do with cases filed in EB2 for 140/485)
oh god!! please give us energy & patience to deal with this processing centers!!

My PERM approval came through Aug 14, so all done in a hurry. 140/485 (concurrent-mailed) /ead/ap sent aug 16th, received on aug 17.
Since it was done quickly, couldn't wait for PERM hard copy approval (came 1 wk later), 140 was submitted without PERM approval hard copy. lawyer included printout of ETA 9089 approval/form from online with OBM approval number on it, signed by me/employer. Also included screen shot from DOLETA of perm approval.
My question...from anyone else's experience/info
Will I get a RFE for the PERM LC hard copy or a rejection?
How does that affect my pending EAD/485? think i know answer..all goes down, right?

I am planing a TRIP to INDIA in Summer. Since My I-140 is already approved and I-485 pending, I will have ADVANCE PAROLE in my hand when I visit India. I will also attempt to Get H-1B/H-4 stamp at Mumbai, while I am in India.
My question is Since I dont have any VALID VISA STAMP on my PASSPORT While going as well as in return, WHICH AIRLINE OR TRANSIT COUNTRY I SHOULD SELECT SO THAT I WILL NOT HAVE TO GET TRANSIT VISA ?
IS there any EUROPEAN TRANSIT COUNTRY FOR FLYING TO MUMBAI WHICH DOES NOT REQUIRE TRANSIT VISA FROM INDIAN NATIONALS.

I used to be an optimist, but after 1 year of politics similar to my home country, I am starting to think that most of what you hear and see is hogwash.
I do not mean that nothing will change, possibly 485 filing will happen, but do not raise your hopes high on GC number increase.
That is the exact intent of their policy. They percieve that too many Indian IT folks are coming to america. If what you say happens then their intended consequence would be attained.
Just look at the whole EB thing. Why do they call it EMPLOYMENT BASED immigration then impose COUNTRY SPECIFIC quotas on it. They look at all immigration as a sort of social development. They have EB1 for the truly meritable. The rest of EB immigration/H1b system to them is a safety valve to help keep the labour markets more flexible according to the needs of the day. The 40K is mentioned in the stats. of visas issued for last year. It is on a few of the lawyer websites as well.
When they want to act on something you can see it in the speed of action.
Right now someone in EB2 category in ROW can have a green card in 1yr or less. From India, noone can say how long and probably without changes it would be about 7-10 yrs atleast.
You may be more optimistic that Indians will leave. I am under no such illusion. Having looked at the personas a lot, I tend to feel more will cling on for many many years, just waiting and hoping. Indians will do this for a few reasons. The US advantage in terms of quality of life, money, job opportunities etc is much more. Indians generally tend to put up with more C%^% if it means they can get ahead, and Indians tend to live more for tomorrow than other people ie for children, for financial security etc. These are generally good traits, in this situation they will lead to those clinging on. In a sense AC21 has in a way put us in this situation, by allowing 7th yr H1b extensions. Were that not there, your argument would have been more plausible.
