I heard from some source that non citizens cannot donate blood... if this is not true then count me in ....
Citizenship is a non-issue. If I correctly, the only bar on blood donations arise from recent overseas travel (2 years or 4 years?) to one of the 'high-risk' malaria areas in the world.

Unless the dependent is going to have his 140 filed under EB1 I am not sure it would help.
But to answer your question, I think it is ok to file. Check with your attorney before you do that though

I got an RFE (first time) for my 485 and my lawyer responded (sent it through post) on August, 9th, 2010. I am wondering, how long USCIS takes to update the status online? I just want to make sure USCIS received my RFE, that�s all I care.

they are issuing EADs for children....it will help you get SSN for them

I filed 485 in July 2007 and got the 485 receipt nos for myself and wife and my daughter. Both my wife and myself got EADs too. Though i applied EAD for my daughter [who is under 4 years at the time of application], i neither received EAD reciept nor the application back. I saw in some other threads that kids under 10years are not getting EADs. Is it true?
I know some may ask why we need EADs for kids? My daughter 's I-94 is expired on Oct 10th 2007 and i applied EAD for her in july just in case though she cant work.
Any ideas?

Have a question related to that:
If job / EB2 stipulates Bachelors + 5 years criteria, does it imply 5 years after obtaining the degree or can the experience be cumulative ?
From what I know the 5 yrs are after obtaining the degree. Your job responsibilities should increase in those 5 yrs. That is why when people try to apply under EB2 with Bachelors + 5 years criteria the experience letters play a big role. On the other hand when people substitute the Bachelors + 5 years criteria with MS and a few yrs experience all they need is the degree and a letter from the co-worker that they worked there without having to spell out the job responsibilities.
Having said all this, I might be wrong as I'm not a lawyer.

it is my understanding that she just needs your H1 approval notice, employment letter, your pay stubs etc. I don't think she even needs her H4 approval notice for her H4 stamping. I am very sure that only your H1 related documents are needed(she needs your original H1 approval)-please check with your lawyer

I140 pending under EB3, non premium category with receipt date 2/1/07.
I have worked for my current company for 6 years. Currently in the 7th year of H-1B with 1 year extension until March 08.
I want to change jobs due to dissatisfaction with current work, and also due to possible future restructuring within company.
How can I change companies without having to go back or live overseas for 1 year and start the process all over again?

You need to bring more clarity in your questions. Has your GC been approved and you are waiting for it to arrive in mail? or it is still pending approval. You do not need any visa to leave US. You will need it to get back in.

I dont think that holds true. If you follow you'll see they have been approving cases even in December for 2003 when the PD has been retrogressed to 2002 for December.
The actural allocation of a visa # hapens after your 485 is approved. After he approves your case, the adjudicating officer will send the case to someone else to allocate the visa # for you. This will take days. That will explain what you've metioned here. Those cases were acturally approved in Nov. I bet you wouldn't see any more such case by late or even mid Dec.

HI all,
I would like to have your opinion regarding my spouse visa, I applied for H1B visa in Cairo Egypt. I'm a female IT pro and got the visa with my 2 sons 5-2 years old. My husband was not given visa, VO never asked him any question and just stapled a paper to his passport to track his visa status online. I asked VO wheathre that means my husband was rejected, she said no just some delay, it takes some cases more time.
it has been one month since I did my interview in the consulate and nothing updated on that web site. My husband has his sister in USA with Green card. What do you think the situation will be? is it rejection or wil get visa later?

DEPENDS on the cost of the bond/non compete agreement /penalty.if you make more money from new jobs which will eventually cover any penalties should they try to enforce a "suspect'agreement then go for the new job :).
