I have never heard of a "Privacy Policy" ... if it is legit, every landlord would only have to give the tenant 24 hours notice to show the unit to a future tenant.
I would walk away from this unit and keep looking ... saving a few bucks by paying lots of money up-front could end bad for you.
being so far away ... maybe a reputable rental agent who works for an established RealEstate company is your best bet.
You do not want to show up on moving day and find out that you have nowhere to stay and now be in Manhattan.

The iPhone 4 was a failure at launch. The antenna is broken. It drops Internet connections and calls if held a certain. The glass claiming to be strong is weak sauce and the only good things on the phone are the cameras and screen.*

Hey all
I want to buy a zip and jazz drive USB or firewire 400 if they have SCSI aswell it would be a plus. Are all jazz and zip disks the same? I want these to access some old disco from like 1999.

i decided to go ahead and buy a current edition MBA....I think the only thing that I want in a new release would be thunderbolt as that could be amazingly useful especially since laptops nowadays don't have express card slots anymore except the 17"....
Todays model is a great value especially refurbished and will last years for its purpose...

and just for macrumors: "1 posting per hour by someone asking when the next version of the lightbulb in question will be released, what improvements will it have, and if they should wait for it in the dark or just buy the current lightbulb."

I have the same, but haven't had a chance to take mine in! 13" Ultimate with a stuck pixel. It was very saddening to find it - although actually it makes no difference to using it...

Odd I used TinyUmbrella to save the SHSHs for 4.2.1 but now after trying to restore I'm with 4.3 and no option of going back to 4.2.1..bumer
You won't find an "option" to go back. You need to run TU TSS server (That simulates Apple Servers but point locally instead of the internet), and them manually restore to an older firmware.

I haven't checked, it may be possible to set it up so they can simply send an email to a single address and have it forwarded out by MailChimp or similar to all the address in the database. The form I put on the website is powered directly by MailChimp, though, which is why I showed it. The entries from that are sent directly to their servers.
It's just fairly complex to set this up manually, and I don't know all the steps (I've tried before, in fact).

Whatman is having a special through Fisher Scientific, where if you spend $300+ on Whatman products, they give you a free 512 Ipod Shuffle. It is trivial to spend this much if you do a lot of protein work. Nitrocellulose membranes are pretty expensive, and Whatman Optitran is good stuff. Some labs are spending this amount anyway every couple of months for membranes.

Last time I jailbrok was my 3G, Now I have an i4 with 4.3.2 and when they went untethered recently I jailbroke.
I havent used many themes long enough to be sure, so this might just be the theme I'm using. However with the Aquarium theme, and I suspect many others, every day I get several banner ads that pop up in the background, behind the icons.
What the heck is the deal with that? I don't need what should be a static background image pulling web content to serve me up ads.
Is this a thing the developer of the theme controls, is it a consequence of having the jailbreak, or something else?
More importantly how do I turn it off.

I used to be a professional musician and recently decided to get back into doing some demo tracks. I have an fully loaded MacBook Pro with Garage Band. I took the GarageBand course, bought a little M-Audio Keyboard and procuced two original tunes; great! Now however, I want to go a bit further so I went into B&H Electronics in NYC and bought the Tascam (model above). The sales person told me that I would be able to plug my Yamaha and Kruzweil keyboards into the unit and that the voices from these instruments could be recorded into GarageBand. Same with the microphone and my harmonic decoder. So far, the only thing I have bee able to do is record my Ovation Guitar. I cannot get the device to recognize my keyboards or my microphone. I am ready to return it. Does anyone out there have any experience on how to make this device work?
