Toyota RAV-4 in 2010 which is a facelift version of the world will begin to debut Geneva Auto Show next month. Power is still provided by the same 166HP 2.4 liter VVT-i engine, mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission which drives all four wheels with Active Torque Control 4WD system which allows the vehicle to switch continuously from 4×2 to 4×4 mode. This ATC system optimizes the distribution of drive forces to the front and rear wheels depending on the driving condition.
Parking is a better experience with a 5.3 m turning radius. Suspension wise, the front features a MacPherson strut setup and the rear on the other hand features Trailing Double Wishbones.
The SUV which comfortably seats 5 adults is offered in two trim levels; Standard and Premium. The more up market Premium variant is fitted with a moon roof, stability control, hill-start assist & down-hill start assist controls, steering mounted audio system controls, leather seats and motorized adjustment for the driver’s seat.
Apart from standard air bags for the driver and front passenger, the Premium model is also equipped with curtain, side and knee airbags. Both Standard and Premium Toyota RAV 4’s are priced, inclusive of COE, at S$ 85, 488 and S$ 94, 488 respectively.
